Vintage Early Plastic Moulded Rose Cameo Brooch Black Cream and Gold Celluloid?

A stunning vintage early plastic moulded brooch. The brooch is very lightweight and has been moulded and painted. It fastens with a hinged clasp. I am unsure of the exact plastic, but have seen similar brooches described as celluloid.

In fair vintage condition, there is quite a lot of wear to the gold finish, leaving the clear plastic underneath showing and some general wear and tear. The clasp is tarnished. I think this all adds to the gorgeous vintage charm.
